Joint collaboration between two research projects on entrepreneurship and informal markets in the Caucasus and Central Asia and the Tbilisi Photo Festival.
It intends to show the diversity, ingenuity, precariousness and dynamism of small-scale entrepreneurs who are pushing markets to emerge, whether their businesses are thriving, or barely surviving.
Pictures were taken between 2014 and 2019, by members of the two research projects and professional photographers in Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan.
