Roots

In Roots I think of myself as part and base of my own family, as part of a community, and I seek new associations of identity that will not be based solely on the concept of nation. I offer new images of ideology based on fantasy, where I reveal subconscious spiritual symbols and show how they are subtly sewn inside us.


Artem Humilevskyi is the shortlisted photographer of the EU Neighbours East - Fotofestiwal photo contest - Family Connections. The gala awards event in Tbilisi was organized in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia and the Tbilisi Photography and Multimedia Museum.
